2nd Symposium on Safety in Accelerator Facilities
We would like to express our gratitude for your continuous support to J-PARC activity.
We have been making efforts to develop preventive measures and to foster the safety culture since the radioactive material leak incident in the Hadron Experiment Facility in May 2013. We believe that we should keep you informed about the lessons we learned and the process of the recovery, in order not to fade the lessons from the incident that caused many difficulties.
In addition, as was reported at the last symposium in 2013, it becomes more and more important to secure the safety at accelerator research facilities against large apparatus, high-voltage equipment, high-pressure gas, dangerous materials and so on. In order to ensure the safety at large accelerator facilities, we believe that it is important to keep having an opportunity to share updated information of J-PARC and relevant facilities, frankly to discuss possible risks, and to avoid having a problem.
We would like to have the 2nd "Symposium on Safety in Accelerator Facilities" in Tokai-mura, where J-PARC is located, on March 6, 2015.
For this time we plan to invite speakers and participants also from overseas. There will be a special corner to introduce facilities of J-PARC and other institutes. So we appreciate for presenting posters on your facility and safety system. (93 cm x 123 cm)
While oral presentations will be given only by invited speakers due to the very limited number of the presentation slots, and we cannot afford travelling and staying fee, we sincerely hope to see many of you in the symposium.
  Sincerely,
  Yujiro Ikeda
Director of J-PARC Center
